Here are some pictures of what we’ve made in cake dec and cooking

These are sweet hearts which we made in Cake dec. We used a creaming method and we also added some lemon rind so they tasted a little like lemon bicuits but apart from that they tasted a little like shortbread. In cake dec and cooking we work in pairs. Me and my pair (Mugz) made pink sugar hearts.

As part of a challenge ms Murch asked us to do, we have to write a message in sms text form. After we do it ms Murch has to try and guess what we said and fix it up if she got it wrong.

Here is my message:

I believe ALL students sould be blogging!

It is so much fun and lets heaps of people meet over the net. Here are some reasons why I think students should blog:

1. It lets students interact with the web
2. enables students to interact with each other
3. helps to improve literacy skills
4. improves computer skills
5. lets you learn about other cultures
6. IT’S FUN!
7. It could be connected to learning in all ways
8. Everyone should have one
9. It’s a good reason to explore
10. meet heaps of new people!

I seriously believe that all students, teachers, parents EVERYONE should blog! It’s so fun and you can meet heaps of people, It also allows your computer/internet skills to improve! Seriously, If you are a teacher, do a petition or make up a debate of wether your students should blog or not, I bet if you gave them a taste you wouldn’t find a cure!

This morning (13-6-08) we conducted a video call through Skype with the kids from Collaboration Nation. I really enjoyed it. It was good listening to their accents and they probably liked listening to our’s too haha

I really thought it wa interesting seeing all the things they bought along for us to learn about, my favourite one would have to of been Mr Bogush’s Daughter! haha she was CUUUTE! haha

I also LOVED the cheer that the girls did for us, it was great, it would be good if you could video your cheer group doing one as a big group.

I also liked the dancer, she was GREAT!! She can dance realy REALY good!!!

I Loved talking to you guys and would LOVE to do it again!!

 This week, for our info classes we are linked with a class over seas called colabortaion nation and each week we ask them a question or they ask us, this week it’s their turn and this is their question:

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I celebrate it by decorating my house with items that represent winter and Christmas. My family gets a tree in the begining of December and we decorate in the week before the holiday. We have no school and having my family over to eat on Christmas Eve. We stuff our selves with seafood and pie. Its delicious.

So my question for you is this:What is your favoite holiday and what are some traditions you have?

  We had to answer this question, I answered with:

My favourite holiday is Christmas holidays too we get about 5 or so weeks normally but because we’re in yr 10 we get a out a week earlier. For Christmas we have lunch with our family (cousins and Granny) and then A big dinner with our family friends. But our tradition is that we go to Port Fairy Gardens Caravan park at the start of the year for 2 weeks which we laze around, have heaps of Barbeques (BBQ) and just have a good time (heaps of water fights, late nights, sleeping in, swimming at the beach)   It’s really funn!!

My answer is:

3 activities I am involved in is : 

1.Horse Riding-I have 2 horses at home and depending on the weather ride them every night or every second night.

2. Karate-I do this in Warrnambool most friday nighs

3.Computer-I talk to people on msn and myspace

My favourite one is horse riding because I can go anywhere I want all over the Farm and district because it is really quiet and there are not many cars going along the roads, but there is plenty of sheep, cattle, foxes and wallabies to chase and fallen trees to jump and swerve!

Each week one of our teacher’s Jess (the lady with the red glasses) conducts a Vox pop each week on friday lunch times with her iPod and a microphone recorder.

This week’s Vox pop is What motivates us to come to school?:

I believ the most motivating thing foir me to some to school is if I miss a day I have heaps to catch up on. When you get into the higher grades of school you start to get more and more homework and realise how important it actually is to go to school. I know most people would be readin this and thinking if I’m on some kind of medication because I like school (& want to go to school) haha  but I’M NOT! :p

I also mainly like coming to school to catch up with my friends and have a bit of fun, each day is a new adventure!

We conducted a survey through google with 2 other schools around the world about our Household electronics. The 2 were Denver and Nabulas.

We have now made up a slideshow to show you our results!

Today (1/5/08) we had a live bloggin session with cool as kids in CANADA!!

they were so cool! we talked to them about animals, electo things, i-pods and things. We had an awesome as session with them, we of course were comming in during recess but it was definately worth it! especially when we got to miss out on a bit of math!

anyways it was sooo sooo funn and all the kids were really cool, it was soo funny too I hope to talk to all of the kidlings agen cause I will say again…’YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!’
